Available Tuesday to Saturday, our main menu offers a wide variety of dishes to suit every taste. Choose from comforting starters like baked garlic camembert or homemade soup, and tuck into hearty mains such as beer-battered cod, Cumberland sausage and mash, Fisherman’s pie, or a rich five-bean chilli. From burgers and steaks cooked to order, to lighter bites and vegetarian options, there really is something for everyone!
Sundays at The Oak Inn amp up the tradition. Our Sunday roasts selection features a choice of tender meats – from sirloin of beef to rump of lamb – served with all the trimmings: homemade Yorkshire puddings, crispy roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and rich gravy. We also offer vegetarian and vegan roasts, as well as guest meats and smaller plate options for anyone with a lighter appetite.
During the festive season, our Christmas menu brings a taste of the classic with a special touch. Expect dishes you know and love like crown of turkey with all the trimmings, pan-roasted cod with a herb crust, venison with port reduction, and indulgent desserts including Christmas pudding and Belgian chocolate torte.
Every Friday, enjoy our Fish & Chips Special – buy one, get one half price. Served with chunky chips, mushy or garden peas, and homemade tartare sauce, it’s the perfect way to end the week or start the weekend!
Saturdays are made for an extra special lunch or dinner! Treat yourself and take advantage of weekly Steak & Wine promotion – two 7oz sirloins, chunky chips, mushrooms, tomato, garden peas, and a bottle of wine to share, all for just £49. A true weekend treat!
No meal is complete without the perfect drink. Our wines includes crisp whites, smooth reds, refreshing rosés, and sparkling prosecco chosen to complement our food menu. Beyond wine, we serve a rotating selection of cask ales, lagers, ciders, spirits, soft drinks, and hot beverages.
Our buffets consist of three catering packages – Bronze, Silver, and Gold – providing a selection to match the tone of your event. From traditional favourites like sandwiches, sausage rolls, pork pies and quiches to hot dishes such as fish and chips or chilli con carne, along with chicken bites, prawns, falafel balls and indulgent desserts, there’s something to please every guest.
Finish off your lunch or dinner with us with a pudding treat to remember. All the usual favourites feature on our desserts selection. For those with less of a sweet tooth there is our cheese board and our guest dessert changes very regularly so you’ll always find room to enjoy something special from our chefs!
